*About this workshop*
This workshop is an important opportunity to promote the exchange of ideas and experiences between: industry experts in all areas of metal forming, both actual and potential users of numerical simulation software scientists from university and research labs, specialized in numerical and physical simulation and virtual planning of metal forming operations developers and vendors of numerical simulation software The workshop will place emphasis on the state-of-the-art of the use and applications of numerical modeling/simulation tools and their future potential for the forging industry. Accordingly, the following main topics will be presented: implementation, application and experience of process numerical simulation tools in forging industry need of calibration and reliable input data (i.e. material and interface behaviour) to gain accuracy in simulations recent developments in commercial software limitations of current commercial software and suggested future research agenda
